Character concpet: Dyone Saunders

The is a character I drew a few weeks back when me and my friend was talking about an adult-themed project and this lovely woman is one of four main characters. I haven't drawn the other three yet because of work and other stress. I threw the colors on, but might go back to shade this one.

I gotta say I'm pretty proud of what I've done. Till next time.

Bullet Kingdom: Kaytlin

Hey guys, new updates on the blog! Finally! Well, after some rough patches in my life, I lost my job, but on the good news is that I can draw again and focus on my book until I get some new work coming in. Some commissions would be nice right now.

Anyway, I've uploaded some new pictures for my Bullet Kingdom book and it's my favorite character besides the main, Chaos, of course.

Here she is, the Mistress of Necroma, Kaytlin Hernandez. She's the mage of the group, but she's no ordinary mage. Kaytlin is called an Engager mage, a fighting class mage who uses martial arts with magic. Also, she has a very foul mouth on her, but this is not her true. Believe it or not, she's 24 years old, just sealed in a child's body for protection. Will get the colored version up asap.

Till next time!

It's been a while since I updated this thing

Like the title says, it's been a while since I updated the blog mainly because of work. Now, that I don't have one anymore, I guess I got some free time until I find another job to get me by. I know I've been promising new pics and stuff like that, but Radio Shack wouldn't let me have the free time to do so. Now, I'm working on some new stuff. I know I've said that before, but I'm honestly working on everything now. So wish me luck on my next venture into the unknown.

Got some test pictures to post finally

Hello everyone, been writing a lot lately to get my book publish and hopeful that it's a best seller, but that hasn't stopped me from doing a little drawing. Trying to catch up with all my back projects and my hectic work schedule is doing a number on me sleeping, but if I achieve my goal, it'll be all worth it. Anyway, let's get the pictures. First off is a pic I'm doing for a guy a met at Radio Shack buying DVDs, I showed him my business card and he asked me to draw his CD cover for his album. Although flattered, I personally don't think my skill is good enough. I'll let the people decide that.

Here's the first one: The Lineart

The Colored Version with Flame aura

The next version without the Flame aura, the fire just focused on the arms.

The first version with a concert background

The last version I did so far with a different view of a concert crowd.

Some oldies, but goodies from myself and Scott

Hey guys, found some old stuff that my buddy Scott created a while ago and I'll be posting up the pics to see these oldies but goodies. I'm not going into detail with the pics until later because I'm ultra sleepy and don't know if I'll be able to remember everything about the many different projects I'm posting up.

Dr. Alexander McCain from a series called Mutant Zone. He has a Wesker vibe to him and he serves as the main villain of the series along with his alter-ego, Testament.

The Grim Six. A very good idea when me and Scott created it. I drew this almost 5 years ago and I cringe in terms of my drawing style. But back then, this was the shit and I thought I was at the top of my game.

A series of sketches and drawings done by Scott for his series B.A.S.S.man. He also threw in a random sketch of Maximo too!

Armstrong: King of the Pirates

Here's the colored version of my Pirate King, Zachariah Armstrong. On a personal note, I think I made him look bad ass.

First drawing of 2011 and comparison

Hello everyone, this is the first drawing of the new year and I had to put it side-by-side with the old version. I'm actaually shocked on how far my skills came in three years.

Anyway on with the pic. The character name is Zachariah Armstrong and he's the King of the Pirates in the Bullet Kingdom world. By know, most of you should know that Bullet Kingdom is my novel that I've been working on and off for the past 6 years. The gloves on his hands are called the Revolver Knuckle because of the gun system built in, so with every punch, on contact it fires a shot from the knuckles. On his right hand, he has the Tattoo of Judgment, something that I mistakeningly drew on the wrong hand in the left picture, but the tattoo also makes him one of Four Judges of Xanadre'. Armstrong has the ability to judge people with his powers and if found guilty, they turn to dust reliving every pain they caused in their lifetime. But I'll post the colored version soon.

Welcome back, Rock Malcolm

Hello guys, I'm back. Sorry for not updating for a while, but a lot has been going on in my life. Enough to write a book about. Speaking of which, that's what I'm doing. I'm writing a book! My first novel, Bullet Kingdom, is halfway done be written! I'm so glad of myself.

Anyway, I haven't really drew anything new in a while, but I will update the site from time to time now.

New Artwork 04/23/2K10

Hey everyone, got some new artwork for you guys today. This is the model sheet for my titular hero Advent. Took some time and learning some other functions in Photoshop again to make this. Well, I had fun designing this even though it was a headache in the beginning.

Enjoy

There goes my baby

Hello everyone. New Art Monday! Today I drew my girlfriend, K (which isn't her full name, but I'm leaving it out at her request.) This picture was mainly to cheer her up and but I wanted to draw her to for the longest, finally had an excuse to do it now.

At her request she asked me to draw her and best feature. Figure it out guys, I'm not telling. But I had fun drawing it, even though I burned myself out doing it. I tried something new with this like trying to make her skin shine like I see a lot of anime women have, but I haven't gotten it yet, I'm still working on it.

But anyway, enjoy the artwork. Leave me comments on what you think and I still have commission slots open! I have 5 slots open!

This is the main hero, Advent, in his civilian identity as William Landers and the main love interest, Chase Howardson.

Being friends since the sandbox days, Will and Chase has always been close until she moved away to Paris, France with her mom and dad when she was 6. Ten years later, she comes back only to see Will leave to go to China where he will eventually learn the Zero Style Martial Art.

Because of her years in France, she occasionally speaks French during conversations and other random moment. Even though she's African-America, most of her clothing is primarily French-inspired.

The bracelet she wears on her left arm is something Will made for her before she left for France and still wears until this day.

Well that's it for the character description. Chase was inspired by my first crush, named Chase but different last name. All my characters are based on someone I know at one of my life or another.

So, for the few volume/chapters, whichever comes first, she's the damsel in distress. But she doesn't get kidnapped a lot or anything like that. I kinda hate those type of damsels. But in her case, she's kinda like the wrong place at the wrong time type as she crosses some villains herself.

I'll post the character pic of her soon.

Enjoy,

Rock out!

New Art - 04/15/2K10

Hello everyone! Time for some new artistic masterpieces, well masterpiece I have drawn. Of course, you know by now my main hero, The Unstoppable Advent. I posted the lineart and flat version yesterday and now, I give you the colored version.

Took me a while to actually add the shades because of work and other issues. But in the end, it's done and I'm proud of my Photoshop skills that I just reacquired. Enjoy and more new art coming soon.

More New Art! 04/13/10

Got more new art of my superhero, The Unstoppable Advent or Advent for short. He's the leader of the River City Dynamite. He initially starts out alone, but over the course the first season or story arc, he gains a team of heroes to help him in his quest to save the world basically. Here's the line art:

He's a martial artist, thus explains the outfit. The Dragon and Phoenix plays a big part of the story, but I'm not saying anything now about it. But enjoy my mad coloring skillz.

New Art 04/12/2010

Hello everyone, this is your friendly artist Rock Malcolm here. It's been a week since I uploaded anything, but that was for a good reason; mainly work. Last week nearly killed, but this week because of the cut back of hours, I got more free time on my hands.

On the art front, I'm finally done with a challenge laid down in front of me by a friend and here it is to the left. I mainly did it for the challenge since I tried it many times before and had the same result, epic failure.

I've also done a side-by-side. Not the same, but almost. I'm getting better though, I think.
