Asiey Barbie pic lines

This is the pic that I've been working for about a few days now because of work making it hard for me to finish. This was originally supposed to be a Christmas gift, but now it might be looking like a New Year's gift. On that part, I'm sorry because I said that I was going to finish it by Christmas.

But I'm almost done now. I got the colors selected and will be trying to finish coloring by at least New Year's Eve. After that, time to finish up Rishawndra's pic. I finally got a design that reflect her personality to me. Well, to her, she got the Superstar Lady, so I finally got something in mind to reflect that. Her drawing will be done within a week or two.

Side note: I'm looking for apartments in San Diego area because that's I might be moving to for chance to break into the animation or comic biz. I know I have a long shot, but I'm going to do it and besides, I love a challenge.

See you guys until next post.

New artwork

Sorry for the no posting as of late, been working too hard on a project for next year to get the ball rolling on plan to move to Cali and get my shit out there. Anyway, I'm taking a break from the project and doing random pics also continuing my "Real Women" series. this time I'm doing two pics at the same time. One was a present, albeit a late one. The other was a gift I've been promising for about 6 months now.

The first one is a picture I've drawn, well the lineart anyway of my friend from dA and Facebook, Asia, in her Halloween Maid costume and one of her recurring messages of her doing a lot of cleaning. :) Kinda funny to me. But that will be posted in a short while.

The second is of another friend and co-worker, Rishawndra, the Superstar Lady. Her picture I'm still debating on because I don't know where to go with her pic. Sexy? Classy? Both? Or a new direction? I'll see where my mind goes while drawing and go from there.

Well, Ja ne! (Japanese for See Ya)

Angela finished *edit*

Finally done with it. Took 30 mins to draw and 4 hours to color. But I'm actually glad of this piece because I tried something new with my coloring. I also adding my sig now since I'm posting these online and I don't want no one to steal my work. I'm still getting used to coloring in Photoshop, but I'll get it soon enough.

Now that Angela is done, I got a certain "Superstar Lady" I lady I gotta draw now. I've been teeling her I was going to draw her for the longest time. Guess, I'll start either today after I get off or tomorrow.

But either way, I'm getting better with my drawing and coloring. I'm proud of this compared to the ugly sketch I did of this about two days ago.

More artwork to come. Rishawndra is next on my "Real Women I Know" series.

Edit: I fixed the coloring. The one little space I missed the first time around, I finally got it and I'm re-posting it for your viewing pleasure.

This is the banner for my shop on gaiaonline.com and the center is me, cool as hell Rock Malcolm. The other two were my shop co-owners and artists. Believe it or not, I got a lot better during this time with my inking and photoshopping skills.

Gaia Online avatar art #1

This is a pic I did a while for a guy named Goldenfoxtails on a site called GaiaOnline.com. This is a drawing of his avatar, well the three stages of his avi. The older looking one with the wing is the default one. Since he likes foxes, mainly the Kyubi because of Naruto, he wanted me to draw a nine-tailed fox in the pic also. I didn't shade anything in because he liked it the way it was, and I like it better this way too. I think I got the line drawing floating around somewhere and I'll post it when I find it.

Rough sketch Angela.

Well this is a rough sketch of a girl I work with. Not the best quality since I zoned out while drawing it. But I tried to get it to the way she wanted. I want to draw another when I get some more free time. I did this in about 30 minutes today. Wasn't trying to go for the best here. Just trying to get it done so I can overcome my "Wall" problem. But I hope she likes it, if not, I'll start on a new one.

More sketches coming soon.

Taking a break from fighting.

After talking to Scott, I'm taking a break from fighting for a bit to give my brain a break from all that ass kicking. I'm basically going to be drawing random pin ups and also pics of my friends who I promised to draw a while back.

This is the colored flat version of the Nady pic I drew. This is basically the color scheme unless I wanted to put a background in there. She asked me to draw and I did because I consider a good friend, but she didn't wanted me to color it for some reason.

So I decided to color it and this is how it turned out. The sheet is white, just add some grays and I'll be done. A rather simple drawing to do.

Some more pics to display

Over the next few posts, I'll be posting some older pics that I drew a while back. I'm still debating on coloring this or not. I might end up doing it.

Mark of the Gods is on a Track

Well, another update. The MOTG project is staying on course and I got a heavy load to do. Not only being the character designer, I'm also story editor too. But still I'm having a blast in doing so. I will be posting some artwork within the next few days. Some from MOTG and some from freelance stuff I'm doing.

Stay tuned.

The artist is back

Like the title says, I'm back. I drew myself looking cool as ever as now I strive to get back to my old groove. This pic took me around 6 hours on and off to complete because I had to relearn PhotoShop all over again, but it was easy once I got the hang of it.

Time to find the next the thing to work on.

Peace!

Finally back on the horse

After weeks of being in doubt about my ability, something hit me and I drew this, which is myself. I used a blue gradient for my background because my eyes was hurting the all the white I was seeing. But this is my first colored pic in a while. Time to show this baby off.

Sorry for the late posts

Man, life's been busy lately for me. Been working extra hard and haven't been able to do any drawing as of late. But I can say one thing, is when I do get back into it, I'll be a storm to be dealt. With my solo project, The Unstoppable Advent, on the horizon and the rebirth of an old project of mine, The Mark of the Gods; 2010 will be awesome.

Meanwhile, I've been practicing Photoshop lately and pretty got the hang of coloring, now it's time to find my own style of doing it. I'll be posting black and white pics of my characters from my Advent story soon.

Staying positive

Well, it's been a rough few days on the creative front. I've been on and off drawing because of work keeping me so damn busy. But oh well, I'm staying positive. I got a feeling that better things are line up for me.

Enough with the sad, sappy stuff. Let's talk about some art here, because this is a art blog. OK, as you may know that I was taking a vacation from Mutant Zone because I didn't want to get burned out on it, now I'm back on it. After I finish drawing a pic for a good friend of mine, I'll be continuing drawing the character designs for the Mutant Zone. Right now, Rick Atoms is next.

The Man behind the Art.

I was playing around with my webcam and decided to take some new pics of me since some of my friends tell me that I don't have enough pictures of me. They tell me the ones I have now make me look like a serial killer or that my eyes (my best feature) can look into a person's soul.

But anyway, even though Blogger has a display pic of me, I'm getting ready to update big time with my new pimp look. Oh yeah, just in case anybody is wondering, I'm doing the V sign from the game Viewtiful Joe, one of the best games of all time.

It's set in stone

While talking to my friend, Scott, we finally decided on our solo projects and will be posting pics soon.

Here's Rock Malcolm

Here he is, the man where my screen name is based from, Rock Malcolm. This character along with Flo and the rest of the Mutant Zone squad was the brain child of me and Scott back on '01 when Evolution and the animated series was out. As you may figured, Rock is the muscle of the team and along with Kobe, don't use a gun on their missions. He has a special weapon called the Knuckle Revolver where the bullets are stored in the wristband and are fired on contact through the opening on the knuckles. A detailed design of the Knuckle Revolver will come soon when I get done with all the human sketches first.

Rock Malcolm is coming

The character where I got my screen name from is coming soon. I'm doing some final touches on him and he'll be popping up shortly or within the next few hours or so. Like Flo, I'll be doing the front and back, finishing off with a reference sheet for the final pic.

I'm so excited about this project that I haven't thought about much of anything lately. I might be random sketches every now and then to keep my edge up.

Possible logo designs

I've been debating for a while to update the blog and have a new look to it. So, I've been tinkering with some designs and came up with this one I'm about to post.

Random sketch

I was drawing this sketch for a friend of mine but it turns out that she didn't like it because it was supposed to be a modern/female version of the March Hare from Alice in Wonderland. I drew the pic for her because it came out to be a Bunny Girl, which was the type she didn't want.

Oh well, I still like the pic and I'm posting here since it gave me a break from the Mutant Zone project. I might do more of these random sketches. Some will be for fun and others will be for boredom.

But here you go, the latest from yours truly himself:

Progress Report

Been doing some character creating lately with Scott. With some long talking and planning, we finally decided on the final story now. On my end, I'm currently designing Rock Malcolm and his designs should be popping up in a few days.

Old skool pic

This is the very first sketch of Flo when me and Scott first created the series back in '02. This was her in the first draft of the Phoenix powersuit. As you see, it was blue and black, but now we went in classic black, grey, and gold.

More Flo

The are some more pics of the leader, Flo. This is her face rotation chart.

One down, many to go

Finally, I'm done with Flo's reference sheet. Here it is for everyone to enjoy.

Finally, the first of many sketches to come of the leader and one of the five main characters for an upcoming project called Mutant Zone. More to come soon.

The first post.

Finally, I'm working on this blog. I guess I'll be posting stuff here from time to time like my sketches, art, and other stuff. More posts to come soon.
